The Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular SCUBA course. It teaches you essential knowledge and the skills you need in order to have fun underwater while making sure you know how to stay safe at the same time. Once certified, you’ll be able to take your own underwater adventures to a depth of 18 meters, exploring some of the best natural environments in the world, without the need for professional supervision.
Anybody above the age of 10 can enroll on the Open Water Diver course, as long as they are in good general health. Divers under the age of 15 receive a Junior Open Water Certification which just gives a few more restrictions on their recreational diving limits to ensure their health & safety. Those aged 10-11 have a shallower depth limit of 12 meters and must dive with a parent/guardian or a professional at all times. Junior Open Water Divers aged 12-14 have the same depth limit as Open Water Divers (18 meters) but must dive with a certified adult.
The Open Water course consists of knowledge development sessions in our purpose-built classrooms; pool training sessions with our instructors in our indoor salt-water training pools and then four dives in the open ocean to practice skills and experience the underwater world under the watchful eyes of our qualified staff.
The training is delivered from our dive center at Deep blue sea and open water dives 3 & 4 are completed at our center in oceanic Resort, Khorfakkan. Previous to starting your course, you will be provided with a “crew pack” which contains your manual, a logbook for dives and training sessions as well as a dive planner.
Course Structure
Open Water certification takes a minimum of 4 days. We run training sessions every day and your course is structured to suit you.

Schedule:
• Day 1: Written examination- Sunday to Wednesday at 4:00 PM at International City
• Day 2: 1st Practical at Jumeirah Open Beach 3- Sunday to Saturday
• Day 3: 2nd Practical at Jumeirah Open Beach 3- Sunday to Saturday
• Day 4: Graduation (Final dive) - 2 dives from the boat, Friday, or Saturday. Usually starts at 8:00 in Fujairah
Conditions:
• Knowledge in swimming is mandatory
• Depends on the availability and weather conditions
• Day 4 will depend on the last practical's performance
• Soft copy of the book will be sent by email before the Day 1
• Practical can book at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM
• Diving Equipment is included during the course
• License will be ready for collection at our office 4-6 weeks after the Day 4
• Transportation is not included

PADI: PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION OF DIVING INSTRUCTORS - UNITED STATES

Schedule:
• Day 1: Briefing about the course, signing the application and collection of the crew pack- Sunday to Wednesday at 4:00 PM @ International City
• Day 2: Written examination- Sunday to Wednesday at 4:00 PM @ International City
• Day 3: 1st Practical at Jumeirah Open Beach 3- Sunday to Saturday @ Jumeirah Open Beach 3
• Day 4: 2nd Practical at Jumeirah Open Beach 3- Sunday to Saturday @ Jumeirah Open Beach 3
• Day 5: Graduation or Final dive (2 dives from the boat)- Friday or Saturday in Fujairah
• Day 6: Final written examination and signing of the positive identification card (PIC)- Sunday to Wednesday at 4:00 PM @ International City
Conditions:
• Crew pack means different kinds of materials like book, RDP, portfolio, logbook, CD, positive identification card (PIC), flag and diving table
• Knowledge in swimming is mandatory
• Depends on the availability and weather conditions
• Day 5 will depend on the last practical's performance
• Practical can book at 10:00 PM, 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM
• Diving Equipment is included during the course
• Temporary license will be issued on the Day 6
• License will be ready for collection at our office 4-6 weeks after the Day 6
• Transportation is not included
